Justin Hodges - State Of Origin Debut SHOCKER! Justin Hodges - State Of Origin Debut SHOCKER! Justin Hodges - State Of Origin Debut SHOCKER!
Justin Hodges' WORST State Of Origin was his FIRST State Of Origin - Game 2, 2002. Hodges throws 2 risky passes in goal that lead to 2 NSW tries. For the 2nd try, the video ref ruled that Tahu didn't ground the ball or knock it on, and that he touched it back to Luke Ricketson who was awarded the try. The disallowed NSW try (the one where Hodges let the ball bouce on his own line) was because Shaun Timmins was ruled off-side.

The Gorden Tallis Spray (with subtitles) The Gorden Tallis Spray (with subtitles) The Gorden Tallis Spray (with subtitles)
Gorden Tallis gives the crowd a gob-full as Queensland pull off a famous last minute draw against New South Wales in Game 3, 2002 to tie the series. As a result Queensland retained the trophy (they won it in 2001). In fairness to Tallis, he had spotted a certain group of NSW fans who were holding up a sign which read: "Tallis - Your Mum's A Rig". It is believed that Tallis thought the sign read "Your Mum's A Pig", but whether it read PIG or RIG, Tallis was obviously offended that the fans had sunk so low to attack his mother, so he gave those particular fans what they deserved. Tallis had spotted the sign before kick-off (Lote Tuqiri pointed it out to him) and the rage inspired him to make the now famous Brett Hodgson tackle.
