Carnival in Haiti is actually the biggest in the Caribbean in terms of the number of people in attendance. It Ends on the Tuesday of Mardi-Gras (varies from year to year). Carnival is always between February 3rd and March 9th. The 2012 Carnival will be in Les Cayes February 19-21. The 2012 Haiti Carnival in Les Cayes is well organized. Lack of security in the past has been a major obstacle for Haiti to develop a tourism industry and to be recognized as a major international carnival. It looks like security will be on point for this year's carnival. Thousands of Haitian diaspora and foreigners are expected to attend the festivities. Come to the Carnival and you will be surprised to see people who are Haitians and do not "look" Haitians. Haiti509 dot com will also be waiting for you!

Everyday the sun disappears in the sea at 5 pm in Goa, India. This particular place is Palolem; in my opinion the best place of all Goa! Nice beach, nice people, nice bars and restaurants. I stayed here for 3 weeks and never got bored! :)

I really didn't know what to expect in Buenos Aires, and on getting around the city in the limited time we had available (3 days) I really liked the city, its culture and its people. The architecture was a lot like Europe, the extensive park system, the ease of transportation and the layout were pleasant surprises to me - much more user friendly and modern than Rio and the rest of Brazil - the only other comparison I had in SA. I was also impressed with the extensive street art (versus graffiti found throughout Europe), the impressive new harbour development area and the changing moods of the different barrios visited. It was a great place - and I hope you like my impressions. Buenos Aires (official name Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, also called Capital Federal) is the capital of the Argentine Republic. The name means fair winds in Spanish. It is one of the largest cities in Latin America, with a lot of cultural offerings, and is the point of departure for traveling to the rest of the country. Inhabitants of Buenos Aires are called porteños, "people from the port". Buenos Aires is a singular, open and integrating destination that allows the visitor not only to view the city but also to have an exceptional urban adventure.

Shown here is a salt worker's child with his mother in the desert of the Little Rann of Kutch. He plays while imitating his mother who is busy doing her daily chores.He also goes to the school which is in the Kharaghoda district and is located in the desert of the Little Rann of Kutch. The students at the school are the children of the salt workers or Agariya people. They are between the ages of 5 years to 12 years. The salt workers settle down in the desert for 8 months between October to May and their homes adjacent to the salt pans that they work on. On reaching the school, one can see a number of temporary homes in the horizon where the Agariya families reside. The school, surrounded by nothingness, is possibly the only school of its kind. It was started by an NGO about 15 years ago to educate the children of the Agariya people. The NGO felt that atleast a basic education was necessary for the children of salt farmers who were kilometers and kilometers away from schools in towns and villages. The aim of this school was to educate the children so that they study further and leave the ancestral occupation of salt farming as the Agariya people are heavily exploited by salt merchants. The Events Artery worked together with the Health Promotion Board to conceptualize and manage this event targeted at three different sectors - the Private, Public and People sector. The event at Toa Payoh HDB Hub, which was part of the National Smoking Control campaign, was a success with hundred of pledges made under heavy media coverage from Channel 5, Channel News Asia and other print/online publications. The Events Artery planned a program that included an exciting launch sequence and clever exhibition booth designs complete with interactive games and computers for visitors to explore the I Quit Facebook page and application.

You'll log into your administrative part of the website known as the Dashboard or back end. Then cilck on Posts and Add New. You'll see a text box with familiar Microsoft Word type icons. It will look a little like your email message box. Just type your article and use the icons to format the text. Above the box on the left is a place to click upload and there's an icon of a camera. This is where you can add a photo or a video. Below and to the right you'll see where you can add a Category and a Tag to indicate the subject matter of the post. This helps people to find it on your website or on the internet. Near the upper right of the page you'll see the Publish button. Click that and the article is posted on your website or blog. Go to the front end of your website and you'll see your article there now.

I stayed at the Circus Circus this past December (2010) and I stayed at the Skyrise Tower. The first day that we were there was good. We arrived at 8pm and we went to the rooms we settled in and then we went for a walk on the promenade and the Adventuredome. Finding the right elevator was hard at first because the back ones go from 18-25 but the first ones only go from 1-18. We were in floor 21 so we were somewhat confused. The second day we had a good time in the morning. Now in the afternoon it became a pain to go to the room. The elevators would go all the way up and they would fill up with people and it would be hot and annoying to get into the rooms and then back out. Also while we were relaxing in the room there some sort of leakage happening in the room, the carpeting next to the bathroom wall next to the bed was soaked. We called the front desk and they sent someone to check it and they could not find the cause of the damage. They offered to move me and my roommate to another room or place towels on the floor to try to dry off the carpet. We could not move because we had two other rooms being used by our group and the hotel would not be able to move them. We were forced to stay in the room and they sent over towels to place on the floor. The next morning before we left the hotel we noticed that the floor and the towels were soaked and it was so much that it would start to smell bad. My roommate actually got sick because of the water damage. The hotel was generous ...

Walk Okanagan Lake shore Penticton, BC, Canada. This beach walk is on Penticton's ONLY undeveloped lake-shore left. Unfortunately there is talk of developing this last section of shoreline. This shoreline is used by naturists who can't or don't wish to go all the way out to Three-Mile Nude Beach (it has been used as a clothing optional beach for many years. I remember seeing it used as such since the 1970's and heard it was used as a clothing optional beach since well before then), dog-walkers, and people who just want to get away from the busy developed beaches. it is a bird sanctuary and has wetlands and needs to be preserved.
