Witricity helicopter trials
First run. Wireless electricity is sent from a coil to the heli. The helicopter has had its internals removed, leaving just the main motor and rotor assembly. A receive coil picks up the electricity and a bridge rectifier makes it useable by the helicopter motor. Power is just 5.2V at 650mA, from a Pantech cellphone charger. As a desktop executive toy this would work to intrigue

Wireless power transfer Small coil antenna using inductive resonant coupling
A demo for wirless power transfer which is based on inductive resonant coupling. A small coil antenna which has a resonant frequency of 13.56MHz. The coil is designed to be fabricated on any substrates, such as PCB or Pyrex glass. Its quality factor at resonant frequency is around 100, which is very high as a small coil antenna. The transmitter used in demo is Felica TM reader/writer by Sony corp. for more information, please visit my homepage on witricity witricity.tistory.com
