TV9 - Bellary Bi-Election Yeddyurappa To Campaign In Bellary........... The former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has announced that he will be campaigning for the BJP candidate in the coming Bellary rural by-election, ending speculation whether he would hit the campaign trail. Speaking to presspersons after a meeting of the party attended by MLAs, MPs and Ministers of the Cabinet to finalise the strategy for the by-elections here on Thursday, Mr. Yeddyurappa said that he would be campaigning for three days from November 21, after his visit to Vaishnodevi temple on November 20. The former Chief Minister claimed that the party was united and the BJPs victory was 100 per cent certain in the by-elections. The by-election is seen as an ego battle between the party and the now estranged former Minister B. Sriramulu, who is contesting as an independent candidate. Joint leadership Briefing presspersons after the meeting, BJP State unit spokesperson Ayanur Manjunath said that the by-elections would be fought under the joint leadership of Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, State party president KS Eshwarappa and Mr. Yeddyurappa. TV9 - Yeddyurappa In Festive Mood BSY Attending Meeting Shikaripura
TV9 - Yeddyurappa In Festive Mood BSY Attending Meeting Shikaripura.......... Shikaripura This Malnad town woke up in a festive mood on Monday. The occasion was to welcome its MLA and former chief minister, BS Yeddyurappa, who, however, was in a pensive mood throughout the two-hour programme organised by the Shimoga unit of the BJP. He appeared to be contemplating his next political move and wanted to send a strong message in the backdrop of the by-elections for the Bellary Rural. I have no doubt in my mind that I shall lead BJP to its rightful victory in Bellary Rural constituency, but I may not go to Bellary for campaigning for reasons other than political, he said. But I appeal to every self-respecting BJP worker to head to Bellary Rural and do their bit for the victory of the party, he added. Later, Yeddyurappa told presspersons that his detractors plotted against him and he had to endure a jail term despite being innocent. He said he would reveal everything and expose the detractors at an appropriate moment. The BJP workers left no stone unturned to make the function a grand occasion, which was like welcoming a hero who has won a war. Yeddyurappas son BY Raghavendra MP of Shimoga and his partymen justified the grand reception, saying that the former chief minister was a victim of circumstances and a deep-rooted political conspiracy. The police put the number of people who attended the function at 10000. It was ...

No More Political Campaign Graffiti
In India & rsquo;s eastern Siliguri, government parties are feeling unrest at the countries laws on political graffiti. Politicians are no longer allowed to deface walls with campaign graffiti. In Indias eastern Siliguri district, The Election Commission has decided to ban the use of wall graffiti for campaigning. The Election Commission received lots of complaints from the public in 2006. The public felt politicians misused the walls for campaigning. The Election Commission then issued an order that no political party is allowed to write campaigns on the walls of government buildings. Political parties feel that the order prevents them from reaching the people during elections. However, some do agree that in view of the Election Commissions order, they have to abide by it.
