A Living Web Films Production. Across the nation, a new agrarian movement, centered on food and land health, is growing into a dynamic force. Led by youth including the young-at-heart and their mentors, this burgeoning movement is tackling some of the most daunting challenges of our time food security, land restoration, conservation, climate adaptation, and sustainable prosperity. In the process, they are overturning traditional paradigms of conservation and agriculture. In this Conference we heard from a wide variety of new farm, ranch and conservation leaders and their innovative, hands-on ideas and practices that are changing the way we look at the land, our water, and ourselves. Miguel Santistevan - Mentor, farmer & educator - Taos, NM With a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Science degree in Ecology from the University of California, Davis, Miguel Santistevan is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Biology at the University of New Mexico. His research interests are in the traditional acequia-irrigated and dryland agricultural systems of the Upper Rio Grande and Sangre de Cristo mountains. Miguel is certified in Permaculture and ZERI Design and has been a High School science teacher in Pecos, Pe ñasco, and Taos school districts.
