Weighing 175g, the Xperia Play measures in at 119 x 62 x 16mm, and boasts a large, 4.0 inch LED backlit capacitive touchscreen, supporting up to 16 million colours and with a pixel resolution of 480 x 854. The device has a slide out keypad, which houses the gaming control buttons, with a directional keypad for moving characters within games on the left, and the familiar Playstation Triangle, Square, Circle and Cross buttons on the right. Maybe it's that little can be done within the constraints of the tablet form factor (or Motorola isn't really trying), but the general shape and build of the Xoom comes off looking just a teensy bit like the iPad's longer, more dangerous cousin. The back and sides of the device are a similar, machined metal (though Verizon's version is painted a matte black, which is a real fingerprint magnet), the corners are similarly curved, and the front is, of course, all screen. That's not to say the Xoom isn't good looking — it is — but there isn't much original going on with the general industrial design that's at play here. And that's okay by us. At 9.8 inches wide by 6.6 inches tall (with a thickness of a half inch), the device isn't massive (albeit a little unwieldy when held in portrait), and its 1.5 pound weight gives it heft without killing your arms — though it still strains your muscles a bit if you're holding the tablet up for an extended period of time. The HTC Thunderbolt is HTC's entrance onto Verizon's 4G LTE network. The HTC Thunderbolt is supposedly the phone that Verizon believes people have been "dreaming" about. That's quite a bit to live up to and puts quite a lot of pressure on the HTC Thunderbolt. For those familiar with the HTC Desire HD, the HTC Thunderbolt should look very familiar. In fact, it'd be safe to say that the HTC Thunderbolt is designed almost exactly like the HTC Desire HD. The biggest difference being that the HTC Thunderbolt can access Verizon's new 4G LTE network. Starting off the HTC Thunderbolt has a 4.3 inch WVGA TFT capacitive touchscreen display covering the front of the phone. Below the display are the usual set of Android shortcuts for menu, home, back and search. Up above is a small 1.3 inch megapixel front facing camera used for video chatting. Placed on the right is the volume rocker, opposite resides the microUSB, and on top the 3.5 mm headphone jack and power / lock button. Other Windows Phones with landscape QWERTY keyboards currently on the market are — how can I put this nicely? — not nearly as solid. The display is covered with scratch-resistant glass, the plastics that surround it are nice and solid, the battery cover is sleek brushed aluminum and the rest of the back cover is rubberized to assist grip. The 184-gram Arrive might be a bit on the hefty side for some users, but I love it. I can't stand phones that feel cheap and plasticky, and the Arrive most certainly does not feel cheap or plasticky. It's definitely on the thicker side, although it is thinner than older HTC devices with the same form factor. The slide-out QWERTY keypad adds the majority of the girth, of course, but it's more than worth it; more on that later. In terms of appearance, the Arrive looks like an HTC HD7 from the front, with stylish silver mesh above and below the WVGA touchscreen to cover the ear speaker and the microphone. It also has a similar darkened chrome bezel surrounding the front of the case. Thankfully, however, the Arrive feels nothing like the HD7. We haven't seen the Flyer's user interface in action yet, but HTC told us that it's tweaked all of its apps to take advantage of the tablet's extra screen space.
