Little Smiles Stars Ball 2010 Philadelphia Little Smiles Stars Ball 2010 Philadelphia Little Smiles Stars Ball 2010 Philadelphia
What's the Stars Ball? The Stars Ball black tie (optional) gala is modeled after the Oscars. The actors are replaced with people much more important - children in our region battling chronic and serious illnesses. For this night, these children are able to escape the cruel reality of needles, treatments and medicine into a fantasy where they are the stars! The girls are treated to make-up, styled hair and dresses, the boys, fitted in tuxedos, are picked-up in a stretch limo and brought to the event to walk a 60-foot red carpet amongst you, the paparazzi! Adults attending this special event line the red carpet capturing photos and autographs of their favorite Little Stars creating a memory the children will never forget. . .neither will you!

Hero Awards Gala 2010 Hero Awards Gala 2010 Hero Awards Gala 2010

From his home in Cherry Hill NJ, Girgenti watched as thousands of people posted pictures of missing loved ones throughout the city. He thought there had to be a faster, more organized way to connect people in need. That was the moment in which the idea was born. Less than five years later, Hurricane Katrina created a similar catastrophic event in New Orleans where hundreds of thousands of people needed immediate help. This time it wasn't just about locating loved ones. Hurricane victims needed everything from healthcare services, food, fresh water, clothing and shelter. It became clear that the world needed a hero. That's when Mr. Girgenti created Wish Upon A Hero, an online community that connects those in need (wishers) with those who can help (heroes). Since the website's launch in 2007, over 80000 wishes have been granted. Wish Upon A Hero has become the world's largest social helping network. At the heart of Wish Upon A Hero, is the belief that everyone can make a difference in their community and in the world. The members are comprised of businesses, organizations and individuals who are passionate about helping. Hero Awards Gala "The Oscars of Helping" Wish Upon a Hero is hosting the 4th annual Hero Awards Gala on November 19, 2011. This annual event will recognize several people and organizations who ...
