Gunman Raoul Moat shot himself before police officers opened fire with Taser shotguns, Sky News has learned. A Sky source has revealed, for the first time, the timeline of events surrounding the gunmans final actions. The revelation contradicts earlier suggestions that officers fired their Tasers first. The source has described how police negotiators felt they were making positive progress with Moat during the seven-hour stand-off in the Northumberland town of Rothbury. It is understood the 37-year-old had been talking in positive terms about what life might be like for him in prison, when apparently the conversation took a far more ominous tone.
