My Aunt Lizs daughter, Lisa, videoed this on 03/20/2009. My mom passed away on 03/19/2010, almost an exact year later. They are singing Amazing Grace, You Are My Sunshine, and Jolie Blond which she wrote. At the end is Maddie singing. She is my Aunt Lizs great-granddaughter. My mom was a self-taught guitarist and she sings pretty good along with Aunt Liz. I hadnt heard my Aunt play in a long time and it had been several years since I heard my mother play. Aunt Liz gave me this dvd yesterday at a retirement lunch that several of my aunts, one uncle, and four cousins came to. So nice of them all In the video, youll see that my mother has a facial twitch. She developed this after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. The twitch was a good indicator to me when she was getting stressed and anxious about chemo, the cancer, or just not feeling too well. When she was relaxed or sleeping, she didnt have it. Towards the end, Id catch myself just watching her. It reminded me of when my children were babies---Id watch them as they slept too. Big Margaret wasnt one to complain, but her face would give her away. I was Little Margaret until I grew taller than she was. Thank you Arnaud and Trahan Family

Mr. Halbert is the musical director and keyboardist for Kelly Clarkson, he is also a Grammy nominated producer. Maddies vocal coach, Diane Sheets, set up this recording session with Mr. Halbert and it was so much fun You can barely catch a glimpse of Jason in the background. Diane is coaching Maddie throughout the session. Jason and Diane selected Sheryl Crows Light In Your Eyes for Maddie to sing and wanted her to make it her own, they selected the song two days before the session so that it would be new and unrehearsed thats why Diane is holding lyrics throughout most of the session. Diane Sheets has been working with Maddie for approximately two years. Ms. Sheets has worked with Diamond Rio, Natalie Grant and many other prominent vocalists in the industry. Maddie had a blast and is very thankful for the opportunity to work with Mr. Halbert and Ms. Sheets. One neat thing about this session is that Maddie is singing in Kelly Clarksons personal vintage Neumann microphone - pretty awesome for Maddies first recording studio experience Hope you enjoy the video
