 Poetry and Art of Shahram Shimi -- Persian and English collection
The verses herein are a samples of larger collection of poems by Shahram Shimi, who is also the narrator and designer of all the companion digital graphic arts. The common theme and message throughout the collection is that of plurality, universal and timeless values that truly endure, a recipe for living a meaningful life by making a difference through deeds with lasting value. With the aid of original digital artistic depiction and poetic narrative in both Farsi Persian and English, the aim of the collection is to value human dignity and the equal status of every individual within the larger family of humanity where many of us are disenfranchised because of either poor genetic predispositions, less than perfect early nurturing environment or just unfortunate set of circumstances completely outside our controls, while the opposite may be true to help others prosper. The unfortunate, once dispossessed, should not be looked down at, and doubly burdened with a sense of stigma, shunned and ignored, but embraced and lifted in a civilized society, at least to a point where their dignity and therefore our collective dignity is not compromised. It is expressly believed that a strong and united family will not allow incidental and chance occurrences cause the demise of one of its members while others are either unaware, look away or worst still tend to exploit the injured.
