This was the most difficult video I've ever had to edit as I had to cut out so many great anecdotes, interesting facts and amazing products. Seriously, I think I could easily have made a 10 minute film for each decade! Anyway here is a little glimpse of my visit to the house and collection of Madeleine Marsh. I tried to stay calm and focused but inside I was bursting to get my hands on all the amazing treasures that surrounded me! The second half of this video will feature the 1940's through to the 70's and some incredible items - Mary Quant crayons, the IT palette all the cool British girls aspired to own during the war and a powder compact in the shape of a grand piano... to name just a few! Many years ago bringing the eyeshadow up onto the crease was a technique that was mainly used by makeup artists. Now its something that most women do. The trouble with crease work is that sometimes it becomes difficult to know how far to bring the eyeshadow out. Often we can create a shape that is unflattering to the eye - ie - pulling the eyeshadow "down" making the eye look "droopy" not a good look. This simple technique gives you a guideline so that you know not to bring the eyeshadow out or dan any further than the line we "created" with loose powder. Its so simple but it can help us in creating a more "lifted" and beautiful eye. Thank you for your time. Wayne

This short film contains footage of a beauty shoot I did featuring models from 3 different age groups. The pictures were to illustrate a feature on beauty products for different age ranges. The girls had to look absolutely fresh and glowing.. almost like they had just had a facial and the make-up needed to reflect this. In addition to this, we had to shoot a party picture but only had five minutes to change the make-up. As my philosophy on day to night make-up has always been 'Add One Thing' I felt a bright pink lip was definitely the way to go. With lighter nights and warm evenings there are a lot more opportunities to go out after work in the summer. Note: It really depends on what kind of knit cotton you have for your shirt. Some will bounce back because it may have more spandex in it, some will stretch out. I only use this folding technique on stronger knits shirts..and on my pj shirts because they were pretty cheap. As far as wrinkling? It's honestly the last thing you worry about when you get a very small suitcase and you have to pack for 7 days. I will talk about going through TSA in a later video. It sounds like such a pain but I've noticed a few ways of getting through the pain MUCH quicker! A very very awesome professor once told me that a designer bag cannot give you the experience of traveling. Save your money and travel instead! That's what I do, and that is why I am "cheap"/money concious. I much rather buy a cute little snow globe on some random island versus another leather something that I don't need. I get to meet awesome people and taste amazing food! It's a win! I want to be the female Anthony Bourdaine so bad!!!! Why I haven't posted another sewing video: I will not be making any more sewing tutorials until September. Which is two months before Halloween. It takes me a good month to sketch, draft and make all costumes...as well as edit them. Also you guys need a month in advance to make the costume as well so it would be silly for me to not be manageable with my time.
